National Park Service throws open all its doors on first day of summer

TheNational Park Service continues its “fee free days” * the first day of summer (June 21, 2011).

Celebrate summer by visiting a National Park near you for free. Click here for some ideas of where to go.

Other free days in 2011 are:

– National Public Lands Day (Sept. 24)
– Veterans Day weekend (Nov. 11-13).

* “Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.”
