Happy Holidays from our home-on-wheels

This Holiday Season we are celebrating at the SKP Park of the Sierras just south of Yosemite National Park.

We were thrilled to see Santa at the annual the ‘Trim the Tree’ holiday dinner. (Pictured at left are Jimmy Smith, Santa (Gus Gurule) and Julianne G. Crane.)

Last year, in 2010, we spent Christmas week on Florida’s stormy, freezing Gulf Coast snuggled in our truck and Lance camper at St. Joseph’s Peninsula State Park within a few feet of Florida’s famous white dunes.

In 2009, we camped at Buckskin Mountain State Park, about 12 miles north of Parker, AZ. This secluded park sits on a bend in the Colorado River backed by low cliffs with hiking trails. We had a great camp site (center right in photo) with no other RVs between us and the water.
